York Excavating Company constructed this new school facility site through a site prime contract with the owner. This new structure was built immediately adjacent to the existing high school, and construction of the new school ran concurrently with their operations.

Late first quarter completion of the new school building allowed the owner to vacate their existing school at the close of the school year. YEC then completed the demolition of the vacated school and the remaining half of its contract value in a three-month window. Thus, ensuring the owner could resume operations in time for the start of the next school year. Project scope included installation & maintenance of erosion & sediment controls, clearing, demolition of the existing school, mass grading, excavation and backfill of the building foundation system, installation of the building slab stone base, sanitary sewer and water main installation, primary electrical pathway excavation/backfill, stormwater conveyance, installation of underground stormwater management systems, installation of a large lined detention pond, installation of a new baseball field and multipurpose field, fine grading and pouring of concrete curbs, fine grading and installation of concrete & asphalt stone bases, pouring of rigid concrete pavement and sidewalks, asphalt paving, landscaping, seeding, sod and installation of various site and athletic amenities such as bleachers, bollards, fencing, backstops, bases, pitchers mounds, guiderail, line painting and signage.
